A Closing Word From The Organisers
It is now some time since the event and now the dust (that’s a bit too close to the point!!) has settled, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone personally for attending the event, in whatever capacity that was.
Whether you were a competitor, marshal, organiser, spectator or media representative, I trust that you all had a good if dusty days sport.
Unfortunately as you may or not be aware, we had a couple of accidents, which needed the response of Calder Rescue. Luckily Dr. Chris Ruddlesdin was on hand at both the incidents and thanks to his early intervention and that of the rescue unit what could have been far more serious proved not to be so. Both incidents were dealt with professionally and all crew members involved are now recovering. A big thank you to everyone who was there and helped.
I want to take this thank the organisers of the 205 and RWD challenge series, for bringing their competitors to Yorkshire ensuring that we had a full entry of over 90 cars on the day.
Once again we were blessed with unseasonably warm weather, which only went to fray tempers and concentration. However I think that we all survived those disputes and turmoils reasonably unscathed.
I have a message to those competitors who took their rubbish away with them, thank you, this did assist us to clear the venue quite quickly on Monday morning, so that we could hand back the site to the MOD. To those of you who didnt, can I make a plea on behalf of all organisers, please take your rubbish away with you especially if you are given a bag!!
By the time the event finished, we had managed to complete some 50 plus miles, despite the cancellation of stage 8 due to the incidents on SS1 and SS5.
Finally De Lacy Motor Club will be organising another event at this venue on the 16th September 2007. So if you are a club member please can you help on the organising team? Marshals are also required for the event and if you are a competitor then regulations for the event will be published in July/August watch this web site for more information.
If you can help with any of these requests, then please contact me in the first instance, either via the webmaster, to my e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or to my mobile 07790 108826. We need as much help as we can get.

Once again thank you for a good day and we hope to see you again.
